Jabbering
I want a new look for my Blog, something with a white background, but I've just not been able to find anything that I "like". No... I'm not that picky, I just know what I like and what I don't like. In the meantime, Gary is on Vacation all next week and with the price of gasoline, I suppose we'll keep our A double S at home. Good grief, almost $4.00 a gallon and in our little "cheap on gas" car, it takes damn near $50 bucks to fill the S.O.B. up. WTF is up with that?
Gee these political things are taking over the news and it annoys me as to why they have to interrupt a perfectly good television show, just to tell you so and so is leading by so and so points. (rolls eyes) Who cares?
The way I look at it (which I know is wrong, wrong, wrong)... no matter who wins, a big majority of the promises they made to get in there, will be flushed down the crapper. 'Nuff said!
Beautiful day yesterday and today too. As a matter of fact all week is nice up to about Thursday, then some storms popping back in. Roofers are to come out sometime this week and "get busy". This is one time I'm glad we have home owners insurance, no matter if it seems every 6 months the premium is atrocious.
Still purchasing a Powerball ticket or two or three, each week. Still haven't won. *sigh* One of these days, ladies and gentlemen... one of these days! Just hide and watch. :)

Geesh!
Apparently there was a LOT of this going on
yesterday.
Gary came in on Wednesday and I went back out with him. With the way things look our direction, I'm glad I did. We've lost about three fourths of our roof shingles from the storm/wind yesterday. My big heavy concrete birdbath has been uprooted and tossed over about 5 feet from where it was implanted in the ground. Our burn barrels are turned over and what little bit of trash was in them, is now scattered over the yard/field. Roof shingles on our well house are also missing, along with the 5 gallon bucket we had turned upside down over the outside water faucet spigot. Dayum Mother Nature,
Hopefully things will settle down, I mean it's only May!
Of course now it looks like it could start this number just about any time.
Bad thing is, Gary wanted to do this
before we have to resort to buying a goat to eat the yard down enough to be able to mow!
What we need is an abundance of this
for a few days, so I can get my flowers out.
Anyway, I'm off to the "city" with Gary, need to get some vittles and stop and drop a pay check for some gas for the lawn mower, just in case Mother Nature decides to show her pretty face and let the sun shine in! Besides all that... Insurance Adjuster is coming around 11:30, to assess the damage and write that big old check. Yeah right!
Y'all have a great day! xoxoxox

Checking In
Satellite repair dude came yesterday... fixed the "stuff" and wasn't gone a half hour and the damn thing effed up again!
Can you believe that BS? Anyway, apparently it was something with the router, eye and tuner which he replaced everything but the dish itself and of course the pole it's anchored to, charged me a hefty price and off he went. Do have satellite now, along with high speed Internet and all that crapola. CRAPOLA -- I love that "made up" word, I use it way too much, but it seems to fit when nothing else will.
Can you believe Spiderman is on AGAIN tonight? Geesh they show the damn thing every week anymore, what's that all about? Toby Maguire needing some ca$h or something? (rolls eyes)
I told Gary that we probably hadn't missed much by not having TV for a while. Besides I was with him last week in the truck and even though we have a TV in it, when he stops for the night, he's so tired from driving, the last thing he wants to do is watch TV. That and the fact with having only one of those rabbit eared antennas mounted to the outside truck mirror, the reception 99.9% of the time is CRAPOLA at a truck stop. (I said it again!)
We don't have satellite TV for the truck, reckon you can get it, but we don't have it.

I can't believe diesel fuel is $4.00 and plus a gallon. I honestly don't see how any of these little Mom & Pop trucking companies can continue on. I'm glad Gary's company is somewhat large or else he'd probably have to be hunting something else. He could always go back to the hospital, but he said that would be the very last resort.
when the alarm goes off. Not sure I'm tagging along this week, he's back to Chicago again and I so hate that place, other than I did have fun visiting with my friend the other day. Seems he (Gary) gets dispatched to Chicago a little too often, but hey... it's a paycheck, right? Personally... I didn't leave nothin' there to have to go back and get, so reckon I'll keep my butt at home.
and this number
and this number
... before I do this number
Y'all have a great evening/morning/day... wherever you be. Catch y'all later. xoxoxoxox
then I gotta do this,
so I better get off of this,
and get moving. Had to stop in to see what you were up to though!
